I was involved in a charity event for Mission Kids 2014 Live and Silent Auction.  I received a phone call from a prominent young man from Philadelphia named Garrett Snider, whom just happens to be the grandson of Flyers legendary founder Ed Snider. Garrett introduced me to the very important foundation ”MISSION KIDS” , an accredited non-profit Child Advocacy Center for victims of child abuse in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. It was my honor to help raise funds at the 6th Annual Mission Possible Gala.  Over 350 guests attended and had the opportunity to bid on Live and Silent Auction items.  Everyone danced to The James Vincent Band, and one of the highlights of the evening was listening to Mission Kid’s inspirational hero Sasha Jospeh Neulinger who spoke about his experience overcoming the psychological trauma of child sexual abuse.  The heartfelt evening was incredible with support from Philly Icon Howard Eskin, HON. Risa Vetri Furman ,and Board Chair Maripeg Bruder.

MISSION KIDS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER seeks to give healing and justice to victims of child abuse by offering a comprehensive team response to allegations of child abuse in a child-friendly setting to promote their physical and emotional well-being for child victims.  By providing neutral, coordinated forensic interviews, Montgomery County’s multidisciplinary team can provide physical and emotional well being through investigation and intervention.

The photograph above features me presenting a Pop oil painting of Sylvester Stallone to Garrett Snider and I am seen below presenting to President/CEO of Mission Kids Peter Madden. The Pop oil painting I provided for Mission Kid’s is part of my Las Vegas Card painting collection.  Sylvester Stallone is portrayed as his iconic character Rock Balboa in the painting.  Balboa is a local hero and I can just imagine him being a champion for children’s rights!  There is no way Rocky would ever let harm come to a kid, and with the right help, anyone can overcome their difficulties, just like Rocky Balboa!
