I met Susan Tose Spencer in the early 2000’s as I was painting al’fresco in Rittenhouse Square Phila. Susan and her husband Bob would frequently visit me along side my easel and they were tough critics, but as a young artist, it was a blessing! Avid art collectors they warmed to my pop art pretty quickly and within a few years collected at least 5 large paintings that are dispersed through homes and family around our country. Their are a million words to describe Susan, but the one that comes to my mind is passion, she had passion for everything! Friendship, Football, Business, Art, but probably most of all her love of her family!
To this date , being the NFL’s only female General Manager, Philadelphia Eagles, is some incredible accomplishment. I had the honor several years ago to meet Susan’s amazing daughter Marnie as we were both rasing funds for The Ronald McDonald Foundation which her iconic Grandfather , passed owner of The Philadelphia Eagles Lenard Tose founded in 1974.
Fighting Alzheimers Disease is a breath per minute journey, as Susan and have family have for the past several years. It was the simplest of honors with gratitude to help Marnie , her friends and family at this important launch in her Mother’s name.
Hosted by Marnie , Chickies and Petes, Ann Catania and Bob Pantano the night was a smashing success!
